  1. Why did you choose to attend Penn as an undergraduate and what sport(s) did you play?

I chose to attend Penn because I wanted to go to the Wharton School.  I wanted a career in business and I wanted to go to the top school.  I was recruited in the fall of my freshman year in the Quad to row crew.  I was a member of the heavyweight crew all four years I attended Penn.

  1. What is your favorite memory of Penn Athletics?

The big races and our biggest wins. Also, the daily lifestyle - run to the boathouse, practice, bus back to campus, then dinner at the training house. The camaraderie that went with that daily schedule was amazing. Many of my closest friends today are my teammates from those idyllic years.

  1. Why do you choose to stay involved with and support Penn Rowing?

Attending Penn and rowing there were two of the most transformative experiences of my life. It created the foundation for much of the success and good fortune I’ve had in life. I think it’s only natural that I’m passionate about wanting want to give back and support the school and the program that was so good and pivotal to me.  I am happy to pay it forward.

  1. What do you enjoy the most about your engagement with the team?

I enjoy being out on the Schuylkill with Coach Bond watching them row beautifully and give it all they have.  I also enjoy seeing them share the same camaraderie among each other that I shared with my teammates.  They don’t seem as crazy as we were but who knows?  They are rowers so they probably are.
