To the Penn Champions Club Community:

We are writing to keep you updated on the developments in the University of Pennsylvania’s response to the global outbreak of coronavirus disease and the impact on Penn Athletics operations.

While there was a high level of uncertainty as the disease spread around our country and the world, Penn, along with all other Ivy League universities, instituted swift action to help stem that spread with the goal of keeping our communities safe. This action resulted in the cancellation of all spring sports and winter championships. Not uncommon, the Ivy League led the way in the decision making that was quickly followed by the rest of the NCAA in further athletic-related cancellations. While we are disappointed for our student-athletes, coaches, and especially the senior class, we are proud to be a part of a Penn community that is committed to the health and well-being of our student-athletes first.

Following this unprecedented and rapidly evolving time in college athletics and our nation, our community is entering a new and uncertain reality for the next few months. As a result, here are the immediate actions that we have been taking at the Penn Champions Club, per University direction:

We have suspended all travel: local, domestic and international, until further notice

We have cancelled or postponed all upcoming athletics alumni and other events

Beginning Monday, March 16, all Penn Champions Club staff will be working remotely indefinitely

All Penn Champions Club staff will be accessible by phone. Staff members have instituted call-forwarding so you can reach them at their office phone lines, or you can call or text our team directly on their cell phones listed below.
